Howdy folks.
Here’s an interesting thought for today’s ‘Thinking Differently’ thought…
It’s commonly accepted that people are the sum total of the 5 other people they spend the most time with.
In other words—YOU are a result of the people you spend the most time with.
This realisation alone is pretty compelling.
If you want to become a better person…choose better friends.
If you want to become a better magician…choose better magician friends.
I’m not saying your friends are worthless. They’re not.
But just think very carefully about who you want to be, and whether they’re putting you on that path.
In the meantime, one of the best ways to ‘tap into’ this phenomenon without drastically altering your friendships is to spend time listening to the very best magicians talking about the most interesting stuff.
(it’s nearly as good as being with them in real life)
That’s partly why we run our podcast—to soak in the wisdom and become more like our guests by osmosis.
But that’s the beauty of ALL podcasts…not just our podcast.
You get to listen to them all.
It’s up to you.
You can start by listening to our public podcast, Of Sleights and Men.
Next, if you want to go a level deeper, you should check out our Daily Magician Tapes collection.
In this exclusive collection of interviews, we try to ask some of the most interesting questions to our guests.
Just listening to these (we would recommend doing so multiple times) is enough to shape and reframe how you look at magic.
