Ever heard of a guy called Perry Marshall?
Well, if you have— you’d know he’s one of the most expensive business strategists in the world.
(trust me, we don’t have ANYWHERE NEAR of the sort of money it takes to get this guy on the podcast)
So why are we talking about him today?
Well…
…he, along with others, have helped popularize the 80/20 theory.
And we do say popularize, because it was originally ‘discovered’ by Vilfredo Pareto in 1897.
So what is the 80/20 theory?
Let me first tell you how Pareto found out about this thing in the first place, because everything else will make a lot more sense from this point forward!
Pareto was an Italian economist who while in England discovered that 80% of the land was owned by 20% of the people there.
Sounds pretty normal right?
I mean it was the time of kings and queens.
However, the real crazy thing was when our friend Vilfredo started travelling to other countries.
You see, he observed the EXACT SAME THING in all of them.
Every country he visited- 80% of the land was owned by 20% of the people that lived there.
This initial discovery became something much bigger, as this pattern was found everywhere.
For instance: in almost every business 20% of the work done, provides 80% of the results.
Which is what our friend Perry Marshall talks about in huge depth.
So, if you haven’t figured it out already, there are many ways this applies to both your life and magic.
