Right now, things are a little…strange…for magicians.

And not just ‘now’.

Things have been strange for a while.

But, that does mean ONE thing…

Magicians that have been performing over Zoom have had a long time to tweak and refine their ideas for what makes strong virtual magic.

Enter Adrian Lacroix.

He’s the reigning ‘king’ of virtual magic—with effects and ideas he’s performed for David Copperfield, David Blaine, and Penn and Teller.

When we talked to him about his philosophy on creativity, his answer was interesting.

He said he usually finds it hard to motivate himself to create something—but when someone gives him a challenge, he’ll attack it from all angles relentlessly.

It’s an interesting take.

If any of you have similar struggles with motivating yourself, maybe this kind of thing would help. Maybe you need to take your creative projects and make them more challenging—turn them active rather than passive.

Who knows?

And of course, if he was looking for ‘challenges’, the last year or so has given him plenty.

He’s had to learn a whole new style of performance—virtual.

Over that time he picked up on a lot other magicians didn’t! Which is why he quickly rose to the top…

…and now, we’re very happy to help you (in our small way) get there too!

Which is why we sat down and recorded a 15+ minute ‘crash-course’ that teaches you ALL you need to know to start creating incredible virtual magic.

Including:

  • The most effective ways to engage a zoom audience (once you hear them, you’ll rush to change your own show)
  • The best way to manage an online audience (and why Adrian doesn’t care if people go on their phones every now and then)
  • Why you should RARELY rush an online performance (and how to avoid it)
  • How to take advantage of the fact people are watching magic from their sofas (and why it can actually make your show better than it ever was before)
  • Adrian Lacroix’s ‘crazy’ zoom magic ideas that he’s yet to try, but thinks would be a MASSIVE success.
  • Why your ego is your biggest enemy (and how to conquer it)
  • The power of a famous Theodore Annemann principle (and why you should incorporate it in your zoom magic starting today)
  • The reason Adrian Lacroix stopped watching so much magic (and how it helped him in his own creative process)
